Aussie PC Fix is a Canberra business founded in early 2004, located in Belconnen, Canberra, Australia.

The business is owned and operated by Mark Boughton, a local Canberran who has lived in the Capital for nearly 25 years. Mark established a computer repair and support business with a focus on customer service.

Mark noticed many other computer technicians didn't understand their clients and used language too hard to understand, so the Aussie PC Fix philosophy is to understand and educate the customer about their computer, while also providing exceptional customer service.

Mark's IT training and teaching skills ensures that sometimes difficult computing concepts can be explained to the customer in plain English.

Aussie PC Fix not only guarantee all services performed but we also make sure your total costs aren't excessive, so we cap all our services to a maximum cost of $240 for each computer, unless otherwise notified!

Specialising in providing onsite computer support and services to local business and home users, Aussie PC Fix offers services for computer repair, maintenance, installation, upgrades and troubleshooting services for all Windows software, PC hardware and related peripherals.

Mark Boughton, Owner

Mark has always been a technology enthusiast and has an everlasting passion for computers and all that's related. He discovered game playing and learnt to program on his first computer, a Commodore 64 in early primary school. After years of learning computers on this and an Amiga 500, Mark then got his first true 'IBM Compatible' PC nearly 20 years ago and has never looked back!

Over countless years of experimentation, tweaking, modding, and sometimes torturing every Microsoft Windows version released since Windows 3.0 on his own PCs, Mark developed a knack for fixing Windows and the hundreds of other software programs he is compelled to experiment and test with.

Mark always loves to build his own computers from parts, and after starting to repair and upgrade friends' and work mates' PCs, found his calling and started his business doing what he enjoys most. Not only to help fix computers, but also help others use them!

Apart from the odd travel interstate and overseas, Mark has lived in Canberra since a toddler. He holds various qualifications including a Bachelor of IT from the Australian National University (ANU), Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training (AWT), and Certificate IV in Business (Small Business Management).

Previous Employment

Assistant General Manager, IT Manager, IT / Business / MYOB Trainer, NEIS Financials Trainer and Property Manager at QSkillz, a non-for-profit training organisation located in Fyshwick and Woden, Canberra. Mark was solely responsible for maintaining over 70 computers at both sites of the organisation, and was the only technical support for both staff and student/trainee computers.

Database programmer (using Progress) at Strata IT, an IT training and database development company in Dublin, Ireland

Metrics Engineer in the Quality Department at Motorola Australia Software Centre (MASC), Adelaide

Financial Analyst at Department of Administration Services (DAS), which was located in Canberra before closing it's offices

Various Database Administrator contracts for several companies, including Drake International and Dunhill Management Services (Human Resources organisations)

Mark has always enjoyed teaching, and was a private mathematics, science tutor for over five years while studying at Daramalan college and completing his degree at ANU
